Right, update time now I have 5 minutes. Well actually, I don’t but I need to make some sort of update…
Laptop is fucked. Again. Borrowing Trenchcoat’s at the moment (Thanks!) so have internet again.
Wii won’t connect to router, so no internet for Wii. I’m going to try changing the router security, see if that helps, but if not, there are other solutions.
Dissertation first deliverable got mixed response. Turns out it’s a crock of shit. Basically. Have to re-do a lot of it in the next couple of weeks.
In other news: coursework coming out of my ass; back is royally fucked - painkillers are being taken fairly regularly now and I have to add co-codemol to the mix if it gets bad (note to self: get more co-codemol); game is going well, I think - players may or may not currently hate me
- this remains to be seen; McD’s suck, but other jobs seem to not exist for me; oh and elections are coming up again.
Elections… the bane of my year. Once again, I shall be campaigning for the position of President of the Association. With all of the afore-mentioned problems. Great
Still, at least I have anime again.
And Ugly Betty.
Also, thinking of giving DoC another makeover. Any opinions?

So what have I done since my last post?
- Worked on my dissertation - actually put in solid work-hours!
- Went out drinking for my birthday. Had a small meal as well with close friends.
- Read many books, watched much anime, seen lots of films.
- Bought all my Christmas presents at the Christmas Market
- Bought many custom dice
- Come back home for Christmas
- Had repetitive bouts of chronic back pain. (Have prescription painkillers for it) (Should really go and take some now)
- Created a talking chatbot somewhat representative of Jamie Gabbay
- Gone practically vegetarian at many points
- Listened to A Very Scary Solstice
- Gotten annoyed at the WGA strike meaning my TV watching habits have gone to pot. Not that I disagree with the strike, but I like my American TV…
- Done lots of lovely work at McDonald’s - especially with doing 11 and 12 hours shifts…
- Resisted the urge to buy lots of stuff from Liam’s
- Started doing Camarilla - or more to the point Changeling
- Also did the Cam Regionals as an NPC and played ghosts the entire time I was there
- Also did the Cam Regionals as an NPC and played ghosts the entire time I was there
Also, anyone got a suggestion for a quote to go on my Gamers t-shirt?
Oh yes, and have yourselves a scary little solstice!

…and maybe I don’t despise C that much.
I created an entire animated graphics program in less than 3 days. I’m impressed.
Also, my laptop will be back on Tuesday!!!
Post-work, went out to pub with work-people and ended up seriously geeking. I like the guys I work with.
Why don’t things download faster? I want to watch more House dammit! Talking of TV shows though, the Heroes season finale was awesome. And where is Scrubs actually going? And where is this week’s Bleach episode? Is it just me or are Naruto’s balls bigger?

No idea when it surfaced, but I found it in the filing cabinet at work today.
In other news, too much bloody coursework… or amybe I should have started two weeks ago..
Also, I despise C…
No word on lappy yet… still waiting the call to arrange delivery…

…but then I did more…
So the program (submitted at 4.20pm to a 4.30pm deadline) now works on Windows and actually works with all the comments that got added last night and this morning. I fixed some of the bugs as well.
Now we just have to demo it next week…
In other news, I’m liking B5 season 5. Started with lines like:
“Do you want to be President?”
“Yes.”
“Put your hand on the book and say ‘I do’.”
*hand on book* “I do.”
“Fine. Done. Let’s eat!”
and now has an episode from the workers POV with references to Sheridan that reminded me of Chuck Norris jokes.
This would be where I get shouted at for liking Season 5. I don’t like the intro/exit credits and the other seasons were better but it’s good.

That is, except for the comments.
The joys of Java programming and deadlines. Our group project’s main coder went back to France yesterday (no, we don’t know why) and the deadline is tomorrow. So guess who’s been frantically learning how the program works from the inside out, the outside in and intuitive guesses?
Today was spent coding pretty much for 12 and a half hours straight on 2 Kit-Kats and a bottle of Lucozade. But I think it’s pretty much done.
There’s one bit that’s definitely not done, but I don’t understand how he’s worked that piece of the program so I’m leaving it well alone. There’s still bugs a-plenty as well, but hopefully we’ll sort them out before we have to demo it…
I suppose I should get on with commenting the code, but I have no idea how much has already been done by other people…

It occurs to me that since I’ve actually started updating on here rather than on DoC “2″ then I should possibly make the switch sooner than anticipated…
Also, my PHP/SQL is working beautifully now. Check it out
I may have to start working on the various Java programs I have in mind soon.
Oh yes, and I got news on my laptop last night! I phoned D&G and they told me they approved the claim on the 2nd of May. I haven’t heard anything from anyone since then however… I shall have to phone the repairing company and see what’s up.
In other news, I accidentally discovered this. It’s interesting in a way. Especially in how he points to how all these “signs” prove that God intended him to come up with this and implement it. Though it seems the best year to implement it would have been about 6 and a half years ago…
Still no news on t-shirt… and why does everyone keep outbidding me on Blood Bowl miniatures?

Slept in, arrived late.
Went to show off my brilliant PHP/SQL. Went “lets implement that update I made!” Broke the PHP/SQL and deleted my only backups of the code. Then spent the rest of the hour first restoring the original code, then re-adding the modifications I’d made in a way that worked.
Went into work. Late, flustered… the usual. Went to leave work (after a particularly easy shift) and discovered my t-shirt was missing. As in the one I was wearing before I changed into my uniform. As in the “tortured artist” one I bought from MegaGear. Nowhere to be seen. I mean I searched everywhere. The office, the loft (don’t ask)… The managers are gonna ask around, but if no one took it, even accidentally and it’s still missing, then shit…
