...it seems that I have signed up for NaNoWriMo.

Time will tell as to whether I actually have any ideas for a story...

Though... I could combine it with the writing_shadows November challenge... Two birds with one stone perhaps?

If anyone else has random suggestions for a story, then please, feel free to yell. I'm still pondering.

For those of you don't know, the majority in fact, a friend of mine from high school - Joffe Abdulla - killed himself on the 1st of September. As it turned out, I ended up taking this fairly hard as everything else went wrong for me as well.

I've been listening to some old music - the stuff I was listening to when I was at school with Joffe and I found this song. I thought I'd share it. It seems appropriate really.

You know what single thing makes my game every time it happens? No matter what the venue, or who the character is?

It's quite simple really.

It's the point where I realise I've just discovered something new about my character. Something I didn't know before. Something that makes them what they are.

In some ways I'm quite of the belief that characters we create are something of ourselves - some part of our conscious or subconscious that surfaces and emerges primarily through the roleplay of that character.

Rocker for instance is an expression of my anger, the collected rage and emotion bottled up inside. (And there's a revelation for you as well)

But that gets away from the point of this post.

Last night, Laine revealed to me a lot. I know his goals, I know why he wants to expand his business, I know how he treats his friends and I know he hates being torn between keeping his Freehold safe and being Courtless.

So, yeh, Laine told me a lot last night. And it's up to me to act on that for him.

Tell me, do I sound a little bit crazy? Because it sounds to me like I am...

So, a rundown of recent events for those of you not keeping track via Twitter/Facebook/whatever.

late-August: Ruth leaves for Hertfordshire before going to France
3rd Sept: Joey moves in
7th Sept: Me and Ruth have a argument over phone, I break down
8th Sept: I went incommunicado
8th Sept (11:30pm): I give in to Ruth's constant phoning of other people and have another argument with her
11th Sept: I go to Maelstrom, Joey has house party
13th Sept (11pm): I break up with Ruth on way home from Maelstrom
14th Sept (2am): I get home to find out that Joey had a house party and the people he had round walked off with around £1200 worth of stuff including my laptop as well as trashing the place and wrecking my bed and the coffee table - AND JOEY HADN'T NOTICED
15th Sept: I finalised the break up with Ruth
16th Sept: I practically broke down in Cineworld
18th-20th Sept: Southern Regional
24th Sept: I tell Joey the rent is due
25th Sept: I go to Shetland for a week
28th Sept: I go swimming in the sea!
31st Sept: I ask Sam to get Joey to pay rent into bank
1st Oct: It emerges that my benefits haven't come in in anywhere near time, and Joey doesn't have the rent money
2nd Oct: I get back from Shetland
4th Oct: I tell Joey that either he pays the rent and deposit by the 7th or we're evicting him
6th Oct: Joey moves out (leaving a fair amount of clothes and other stuff behind)

So yeh, that's how my life's been.
